Pearl Ledger was started in Kampala with a simple observation: the business software available on the market was either too expensive, too complicated, or simply not designed with real business environments in mind.
Existing tools assume stable internet connections, card payments at every till, and large IT teams to manage deployments. That is not the reality for most businesses — and we built our products around that truth.
We set out to build software that works the way businesses actually work — with mobile payments, unreliable connectivity, lean teams, and a tight budget. Our first product, Byangu POS, is the result of that effort.
